I do not read poetry. Ever. Not since I had to in college lit. While I can appreciate it I don't enjoy it. So I bought this book because 1. Seth King wrote it and 2. I love the cover. It reminds me of one of my favorite artist's work. So when I started reading it I was pleasantly surprised to find that although it is indeed poetry it reads like novel. I was blown away by the exquisitely crafted words. I had to break up the reading because it is so beautiful I would find tears running down my face and would have to step back a while. It is sad, but it is also funny and inspirational and something every person can relate to on some level. If you have read King's novel, Honesty, the story is very clear. Seth King is truly an artistic genius with words.Product details

Seth continues to blow me away. I love poetry, but this time s so much more than that. It invokes passion and love and tears and smiles and frowns and even anger. Just what a good book should do especially a book of poetry. Thanks Seth you always leave me waiting for and wanting more!
I found this through following King on social media, so I had an idea of what to expect, but it was still more than I thought. It's emotionally raw, and honest, in a touching way.
Towards the end, some more political entries sneak in, and I would enjoy seeing a collection of just those from King. They get lost in the mix here and it's a shame they may go unnoticed.
Seth King's words are slaying me in the best of ways.
This book is purely and devastatingly phenomenal!

The title says it all. All of the Colors contains a set of thoughts and emotions that are as vast as the there are colors. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever lost someone close to them or have looked to the stars and moon and ever wondered the possibilities that exist in this life.
I normally don't read poetry, however I bought this book of poems because I thoroughly enjoy the writing style of the author. Come on it's Seth King, he has the ability to poor so much emotion into what he writes that it can (and has) left me awestruck.
I wasn't sure I'd be into a poetry book, but this is so much more. It's all of us--what we think, what we feel, what we're afraid to say. Once again, I'm blown away at what this young writer can do with words. This is more of a love song than a poem, and after this review is written, I'm going to read it again.
I don't even know how to write a review for a book that has touched me as deeply as this one. If you have ever loved anyone with your whole heart, only to have that heart broken, this book will be more than words. It is a beautiful cover wrapped around all the feelings, like Seth King has pulled them right out of you and put them on a page so you can see them. To say I love this book isn't exactly right. I think I feel this book in my soul. Mr. King's words are everything. They kill me. And then they save me. TIP Get tissues before you start reading, because they are harder to find when you are crying.
I honestly don't think I have the words to describe how beautiful this book is. No, I know I don't. There is nothing I can say to do it justice. All I have is that this collection of Poetry will shatter your heart and then put it back together piece by piece. You can feel how Seth ripped these words from himself and bled them onto the paper. It's really one of the most gorgeous things I've ever read. I promise you'll find something, even if it's just a line or two, in each poem that your heart will relate and then cling to. It's life told in the realist way. It's all the things you feel but are afraid too say out loud. This will be one of those books you keep on your bedside table with all the page markers. Just so you know it's there when you need it.
